SimpLay Loose Lay luxury vinyl tiles have been installed in the main atrium area at New Charter Housing Trust Group’s headquarters in Asthon-under-Lyne.

New Charter is one of the Greater Manchester's largest registered providers of social housing and the Group owns and manages 18,600 homes.

Speed of turnaround and a problematic flooring slab were the main reasons why SimpLay was specified. Over 300m˛ of Champagne Limestone Tiles were installed by Goulson Furnishing Fitters in Stockport.

We experienced some issues with the flooring slab and needed a floorcovering that looked impressive and could be installed quickly,” explained Ian Pritchard, facilities manager at New Charter Housing Trust Group.

“This loose lay option provided an attractive finish and minimised disruption for our staff.”

SimpLay tiles offer adhesive-free installation and can be easily uplifted for access to subfloor.

“Without the need for traditional adhesive and subfloor preparation, we managed to lay the 300m˛ very quickly,” added Stuart Goulson of Goulson Furnishing Fitters.

“We are also able to get to the flooring slab easily should any future subfloor repairs be required.”

Featuring a 5mm gauge and 0.7 wearlayer, SimpLay copes with the demands of heavy traffic commercial environments and features a PU surface treatment to assist ongoing maintenance and reduce life cycle cleaning costs.

A thick 5mm gauge also facilitates a 9dB sound impact reduction, an added benefit for offices, educational environments and multi-level commercial buildings.

The SimpLay collection features eight authentic wood planks, six natural stone tiles and two weave pattern tiles.
