Wood effect planks from the SimpLay Loose Lay vinyl tile collection have been installed in the staffroom at North Hertfordshire College in Stevenage.
Featuring an attractive Natural Oak finish, the planks don’t require adhesive and were laid straight over the existing flooring by MG Flooring of Hertford, facilitating a rapid installation and minimal disruption.
“We needed a flooring solution that was quick and easy to install, yet still delivered resilience and ease of cleaning,” commented Brian Sapsed, head of estates and facilities.

Featuring a 5mm gauge and 0.7mm wearlayer, SimpLay copes with the demands of the toughest commercial environments and features a PU surface treatment to assist ongoing maintenance and reduce life cycle cleaning costs.
SimpLay allows easy access to underfloor heating and cabling while the thicker 5mm gauge facilitates a 9dB sound impact reduction, an added benefit for offices, educational environments and multi-level commercial buildings.
