Over 5,000m² of Expona Simplay PUR loose lay luxury vinyl tiles were chosen to create a beautiful working environment for OMERS employees in their new Ernst & Young Tower office, Toronto. The flooring was installed by Resource Interiors Inc, working for The Jesslin Group Ltd and created a space for connection and collaboration.

OMERS, a pension fund company, located in Toronto, Canada recently made the decision to move their 1450 staff to a brand new office building. They brought Interior designers Figure 3 onboard to create a space designed for focus, connection, collaboration, and engagement.
The offices stood across 325,00 square feet and 16 floors which were utilised as part of a wellness strategy. Travel between floors was encouraged with bright and well-lit stairwells. Meeting rooms and refresh zones were located at every level and sit-stand desk we also utilised to promote movement. The work spaces created by Figure 3 were designed to inspire productivity and provided the right balance of privacy for focused work and collaborative spaces for connecting.
Figure 3 chose to work with Polyflor for the project because of their reliable customer service and a great selection of products. They opted for Light Classic Oak and Dark Country Oak from the Expona Simplay collection which made the perfect solution for the project.
The Expona Simplay collection of loose lay vinyl tiles and planks have been developed for heavy commercial interiors, this was an essential requirement for the flooring in order to withstand the footfall of 1450 staff. Expona Simplay could also be easily maintained thanks to the PUR treatment on all planks and tiles.
A popular choice amongst office renovations for its 5mm gauge, Expona Simplay worked perfectly with surrounding floor coverings like carpet tiles for excellent zoning and a seamless transition across spaces. Expona Simplay is also quick to install and adhesive free, thanks to its loose lay format and unique honeycomb backing layer ensuring tiles stay in position. This allows tiles to be uplifted and reused providing both design flexibility and sustainability benefits.
Sustainability was a key consideration during the construction of the site. 93% of waste was recycled and lots of the old furniture was donated to charity. Expona Simplay LVT is 100% recyclable, contains 20% recycled material and achieves BRE A+ certification, helping contribute to the wider sustainability of the construction.

The remnants of post-war Poland became reinvigorated when the offices of Stalgast, a leading hospitality manufacturer, were transformed into a contemporary workplace. The challenging project required flooring which matched the pre-existing natural materials whilst offering a series of practical features. The headquarters belong to technology company, Livesport of whom sports is a fundamental part of their culture. A variety of bright and dynamic shades from the vinyl collection were used to create the aesthetic of a running track.
