Polyflor recently lent a helping hand to charity group Fat Lads on Bikes when they started their own DIY SOS style project to renovate the home of Millie Mai Mann in South Bank, North East England.

The Fat Lads, led by Neal Bullock, have been fundraising throughout 2015 to build a new sensory room for 8 year old Millie who has cerebral palsy and cannot walk or communicate. Thanks to their fundraising efforts and the help of local volunteers they were able to fulfil their mission and were also able to build a wet room for Millie, a storage room for her medication and gave her brother and sister bedroom makeovers of their own so they weren’t left out.

Millie lives on the doorstep of our Teesside manufacturing plant so we decided to help the Fat Lads by donating wet slip resistant Polysafe Hydro Evolve safety flooring for her new wet room and Camaro flooring for her storage room. Bill Norton of Pinnacle Flooring in Middlesborough kindly installed the flooring free of charge.

Well done to Fat Lads on Bikes for doing such an excellent job! We hear that Millie and the Mann family are delighted with the changes to their home.
