For this modern medical centre, a colour scheme was required that evoked the neighbouring coast to welcome patients and provide an ocean-like calm. To enhance well-being, flooring from Palettone PUR helped create a design tonic, brightening the impressive interior of the building.

Located in the suburbs of Perth, Western Australia, Aegis Health Medical Centre provides healthcare services to residents, alleviating pressure on the nearby emergency department.
Perfect Practice, based in the city centre, undertook architectural design responsibilities. Darcy Miller, the appointed company designer, led the decision-making process.
Miller opted for an ocean theme, inspired by its turquoise waters and additional coastal colours which, when combined, created an immense sense of calmness.
Practical, low-maintenance benefits, alongside a hygienic finish, were significant considerations within the large waiting area and reception space.
After careful consideration, Miller selected the following shades:
- Palettone PUR – Natural Cotton (8621)
- Palettone PUR – Aqua Pura (8651)
- Palettone PUR – Pennyroyal Mint (8652)
- Polyclad Plus PU – Summer Sky (2830)
This palette of soothing shades was used to create zones within the waiting and treatment areas.
The result is a truly impactful experience for patients visiting Aegis Health Medical Centre, offering welcome comfort and serenity at all stages of their visit.

New MS care and research facility in Toronto benefits from safety and visual qualities of Polyflor products. Kitwood House, a new 64-bed dementia home in Northwich, used flooring and clever interior design to trigger fond memories in its residents. Polyflor’s Polysafe range was selected for the development’s bedrooms and bathrooms to achieve a contemporary aesthetic that would minimise the risk of slips and falls, while Polyflor’s Expona Bevel Line range was selected for communal spaces to replicate the comforting feeling of home.

Veitchi Flooring is one of the UK’s largest flooring contractors, working on projects of all types nationwide. The firm has a strong commitment to improving sustainability in the industry. On being awarded the flooring contract for the project (located at Aberdeen Royal Infirmary), Veitchi recognised that offcut disposal would present a major environmental challenge. Aware that vinyl is easily recyclable and having previously used Recofloor for collections of material from their own premises, Veitchi contacted the Recofloor team. It soon became clear that Recofloor’s straightforward onsite collection and recycling service was the obvious solution.
