JetBrains creates intelligent software development tools used by over 11.4 million professionals across businesses of all sizes.

This second JetBrains office in Amsterdam now serves as the main office and headquarters. It showcases an ultra-modern space which utilises resilient floor coverings from Polyflor to complement the overall design concept.

The renowned Bjarke Ingels Group designed the Terrace Tower. The international architectural practice, led by Danish-born Bjarke Ingels, is known for buildings that defy convention while incorporating sustainable development principles and bold sociological concepts. J.P. van Eesteren, based in Gouda, completed all construction work.

The JetBrains workspace covers 10 of the 13 above-ground storeys, totalling 11,500 sqm of floor space. Inside, it offers a wide range of amenities, including a spacious restaurant, a coffee bar, an on-site gym, wellness areas, and a relaxation zone.

D/Dock, the locally based interior architects, required homogeneous designs with attractive floor concepts and hygiene properties.

When reviewing Polyflor, they were impressed with the straightforward installation, durability, and simple maintenance of its products. As such, they specified as follows:

The key focus of Terrace Tower is sustainability, from recycled furniture to 100% recyclable flooring from Polyflor. The building also boasts the prestigious BREEAM Excellent rating, underlining its optimal sustainability, with construction taking the surrounding area (and its residents) into account.

Fittingly, it is nature that inspires the overall office design, creating an environment intended to enhance employee focus and stimulate creativity. The colourful flooring options from Polyflor brought this bold vision from D/Dock to life, replicating various landscapes: desert, forest, fields, sunset, and mountains.

Overall, with significant contributions from Polyflor, Terrace Tower now stands proud as a delightful workspace which has its employees and the environment at heart.
